Cambridge Exam Course

The University of Cambridge Certificate Examinations are widely known and accepted throughout the world. Students taking the preparation for Cambridge exam for the FCE and CAE level examinations undertake the General English (GE) morning class at their level and the afternoon class which focuses on specific examination skills development.

Study hours: Every week 25 classes of 60 minutes (25 hours)

Tuition fees: 10 weeks NZ$3600

English & Golf

15 hours General English per week. 2 x 30 minute PGA coaching lessons, unlimited games at Taupo Golf Club. Driving range at Wairakei International Golf Course is also available. 2-50 weeks duration.

25 hours per week. The fastest way to improve your English. Students enrolled on this school course can change to an exam class at no extra cost. 2-50 weeks duration.TOEIC exam is available upon request. The Centre is a TOEIC testing centre.

We encourage students to enrol in a combination of programmes. For example: Two weeks Full Time English and two weeks Full Time English + Adventure Activities. The student can participate in any ten activities over the four week. Activities include, but are not limited to:

IELTS preparation programme

IELTS is widely accepted as a prerequisite for the University and Polytechnic entrance examinations in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada. It is also required for Permanent Residency in New Zealand. The IELTS examination evaluates the student's reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. There are two levels, General and Academic level courses at Taupo.

Part-Time English

15 hours English per week (09:00-12:15 each day). Suitable for students who wish to pursue their favourite afternoon activities and become fluent in English over a longer period of time. Students select their own afternoon adventure activities on a pay as they attend basis or have free time. 2-50 weeks duration.
