Taupo Language & Outdoor Education Centre is a privately owned English language school which has been teaching students English for over 16 years. The English school is based in Taupo, New Zealand.
Bi-lingual student counsellors are available to help our students with their future study choices, medical, banking and travel arrangements, visa extensions and any other academic or personal problems.
Activities
Taupo is known as a recreational paradise so the school is able to offer a wide range of activities to our students. Ski fields are just over an hour’s drive away - world famous trout fishing is available in the Taupo and Turangi areas - internationally renowned golf courses - and of course that classic New Zealand activity, the bungy jump!
Students can participate in the Full Time English + Activities Programme and have all their activities pre-paid, or participate on a “pay as you go” basis, taking part in activities after class and on the weekends and paying for themselves.
Accommodation
Homestay - where you will be lodging with a Taupo family, have your own bedroom, 3 meals every day.
Furnished House / Room / Apartment - suitable for long term and independent students aged 18 years and over.
Area Introduction
The one place that has it all, Taupo township is situated on the northern shores of New Zealand’s largest lake - famous for its spectacular scenery, kayaking and river rafting, geothermal areas and trout fishing. It is close to NZ’s largest ski and snowboarding resorts at Whakapapa & Turoa at Tongariro National Park. It is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Taupo city is safe, friendly and an easy place for students to adapt to an English-speaking way of life.
