Nab Cottage, English Language in the Lakes is a small international community.
Teachers, facilitators, and language students live together in the beautiful English lake district. The school is located next to a lake and in the middle of the national park. The school is only open during April until October.
The school aims to make every student feel confident, relaxed and happy. Students are all adults and come from all over the world to life in the school and work together with the teachers and other students to improve their English and gain many new experiences.
Four classrooms are in the converted barn next to the cottage.
There is a self-study area, listening/reading library and computer with internet access. There is also a video room and a games/party room – with an extensive fancy dress wardrobe and sound system.
As well as 20 hours of general English lessons in small groups each morning, the course includes peer learning, tutorials, relaxation, the Monday meeting and the involvement of the wider community. The course involves a lot of listening and speaking and is designed to improve your confidence. It is both intensive and a lot of fun.
