Area Introduction

Santa Barbara has a mild, temperate climate and on average 300 sunny days a year. The warmest months are July though to October when the average daytime temperature is 24C. December through to March are the coldest months with average daytime temperatures of 18C. With its Indian Summers, you can enjoy the warm sunshine late into the autumn. Warm winds blow over the mountains in the late autumn and in early winter turning cool days into warm evenings. True winter is brief and spectacular if it happens at all. Once every couple of years, a cold storm will cap the coastal mountains with snow. In general, the colder months are more like spring than winter and summer is never far away!
