The Greenwich School is housed in a spacious, well maintained modern building right in the heart of Greenwich and just a few hundred metres away from the railway station. There are 16 classrooms, a self-study centre, two computer/internet rooms and a large social room.
Activities
All students are actively encouraged to take part in the social programme, with activities talking place in both the afternoon and evening. Activities are varied, combining cultural visits with pub nights and discos, and we feel sure that this mix means that there is something for everyone. However, should you require anything special, we will of course do whatever we can to help arrange this.
Area Introduction
SIS London-Greenwich is located in the heart of Greenwich, one of London’s most historic areas. Known internationally for the world’s Prime Meridian (longitude 0) and as the home of the Cutty Sark, the town centre is on the banks of the River Thames and features many beautiful and historic buildings. Modern day Greenwich is full of cafes, restaurants, interesting shops and of course the world-renowned market.
By choosing Greenwich, you are getting the best of both worlds – being so close to Central London , and still benefiting from living in one of the capital’s most beautiful and historic areas.
Greenwich is located in Zone 2 of London, which means the centre is only 20 minutes away by train (to Charing Cross/Trafalgar Square) or 20 minutes to Bank station via the Dockland Light Railway.
