English Success is the foundation of all Intrax programs. The curriculum focuses on developing your core English skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. It also includes grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, pronunciation, vocabulary and more.

• Reading - In addition to textbook exercises you will have a chance to read newspapers and magazine articles in class.
• Writing - You will practice writing basic sentences and paragraphs and eventually use your skills to write well organised essays.
• Listening - Increase your skills by listening to real English conversations and presentations.
• Speaking - Speak out loud and give presentations on topics ranging from basic personal information to current events.

The Professional Internship Program gives you the opportunity to put your English language skills and knowledge to work. As an Intrax intern, you'll gain valuable skills that will help prepare you for your future career while your U.S. or Canadian host organization will benefit from your international knowledge and perspective. If your goal is to succeed in an English-speaking business environment, our Professional Internship Program is the perfect way to show future employers that you have the skills to succeed in their workplace!

Our Professional Internship Program requires four weeks of preparation before you begin the actual internship for 8 - 12 weeks. Your preparation consists of any program (English Success, TOEFL & TOEIC Success or Business English) on an Intensive or Super Intensive schedule and the "Launching a Career in North America" Afternoon Focus class.

During the four weeks you spend preparing for your internship not only will you improve your English language skills but you will also learn effective job interview techniques, how to prepare a North American-style cover letter and resume along with tips and tricks for succeeding in a North American work place.

(30-40 hours per week for 8-12 weeks)

After completing the four weeks of preparation you will be placed with a trusted organization or company in one of the following fields depending on your area of interest.

• Not-For-Profit

During your internship you will regularly check-in with your Intrax Internship Advisor at the center for regular evaluations and weekly assignments.
