Classrooms and Facilities
Fully air-conditioned classrooms with direct access to outside balconies are equipped with teaching materials, tape recorders, TVs, videos and overhead projectors.
There are two state of the art computer rooms (students have free internet & email access).There are two recreational areas including an outside terrace, which has a cafe selling food and drinks and an air-conditioned students room. There is an in-house social club where you can book tours and social activities. Each afternoon the outside terrace becomes Gecko Bar where students meet and relax over a drink. For students who wish to bring their own laptops the Cairns Campus has wireless internet.
Activities
Kaplan Aspect Cairns has its own bar in the school – students aged 18 and over are invited to visit the bar any afternoon after school and mix with other students and teachers in the relaxing, social environment. Gecko’s is open every afternoon of the week from 3pm onwards. There are many activities organized at Gecko’s including competitions with great prizes; conversation afternoons which allow students from different levels and nationalities to mix; DVD and Music Afternoons and Big Screen Sports Replays. The bar is fully licensed and supervised by IH Staff.
