Founded in 1991, ILSC is the largest language school in Canada and has established an international reputation.
ILSC-Montréal is set in a modern building in the downtown core. The school is equipped with

Student lounges at all ILSC campuses provide access to filtered water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fridges and microwaves. Campuses also have several bulletin boards providing information about travel, housing, employment, upcoming local events, etc.
The ILSC schools also have a borrowing library and a listening laboratory available for all students. Practice your English or French speaking skills with conversation tapes and audio books on tape. The library is available during regular school hours.
ILSC staff includes a team of Cultural Counsellors who can help you in your native language. Throughout your studies, an individual cultural counselor will support you. ILSC students come from more than 30 countries, creating a rich multicultural environment in a friendly and respectful atmosphere.
ILSC offers a wide range of courses. You can choose to study either 3, 4.5 or 6 hours per day and you can take any combination of courses you wish, depending on your interests, goals, language level and schedule.
Most courses are offered at many different levels and last four weeks. At the end of the four week session, your language level will be assessed and you can choose new courses and/or move up a level in your current course.
An “English Only Policy” on campus ensures that students only speaks English, and cannot use their mother tongue.
Activities
The school activities make the most of the four distinct Canadian seasons. Attend the school in the summer and take up bicycling, rollerblading, golfing, kayaking or learn how to salsa in the summer heat. Enjoy winter sports like tobogganing, skiing and skating or come in from the cold for indoor rock-climbing, movie nights, live basketball games and much more. Fresh air nature hikes are easily accessible all year round.
