Established in 1995, SGV Calgary is located in the North-West Travellers Building, one of the few heritage buildings in Calgary. Occupying the top three floors of the four story building, the school has been designed to provide students with an excellent environment in which to study and meet people from around the world. The school has a regular population of some 200-250 students.
This location gives students an expanded capacity with 25 classrooms and a very large student lounge! Included in the school’s very modern learning facilities are both a multi-media lab and a web-enabled classroom.
The location provides our students with a direct access to public transit with the Light Rail Transit only two blocks south. As well, the school is in close proximity to the Calgary Public Library, Chinatown and the Eau Claire Market area.
Some of the activities organized by the school include horseback riding, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, sightseeing trips, caving, go-karting, indoor rock climbing, visits to pubs, restaurants and more.
Calgary, located on the doorstep of the majestic Rocky Mountains, is a young, modern city of almost 1 million people. It is known for its warm hospitality, lively western spirit, and fun year round activities.
