Area Introduction

Boston, the birthplace of American independence, is one of the premier destinations for visitors to the United States. It’s also the world’s largest academic centre, home to over 50 universities.

There really is something for everyone in this ‘city that feels like a town’. One of America’s oldest cities, Boston is said to have a very European feel. In fact, it’s the best of both worlds: a charming city best explored on foot, with all the advantages of modern American life.
