One of Auckland’s largest language schools, Crown Institute of Studies was founded in 1972. Located not far from the University of Auckland, a few minutes walk from the bustling heart of Auckland. Both international and local students attend it courses, and besides a well equipped language school the institute also provides a wide variety of business programmes to local students.
The minimum age for students is 18 years, and counselors help the students find students the programmes that best match their interests and help them with all issues regarding life in New Zealand, whether it is opening a bank account, accommodation or visa issues.
Because of its Business school, you can study more than just English. You can combine your English studies with business diploma courses, hotel/restaurant or tourism management programmes. All these programmes allow you to mix with local New Zealand students.
Activities
Example activities include Badminton, basketball, barbecues, farm tours, fishing, mini car racing, golf, horse riding,diving, parachuting, football, snooker, swimming, tennis, volleyball,sailing, picnics, excursions and sightseeing, parties, visits to museums , opera appreciation.
Accommodation
Homestays are usually a 20-40 minute bus ride away from the school. Alternatively various student apartment options are also available.
