Academic Study Year (A-1.30)

If you need to develop a high level of English language skills for educational, business or professional purposes, the Academic Study Programme offers you the ideal opportunity. It provides you with an individually designed study plan to meet your personal objectives, and allows you to progress at the best speed you can achieve. You can enroll for varying periods from 24 to 48 weeks (up to 60 weeks in exceptional cases) depending on your initial level of English, the level you wish to reach and the examination qualifications, if any, you wish to obtain. Among the most important features of the Academic Study Programme are its flexibility and its options. You can concentrate on intensive general English study, or you can tailor your course to the precise needs of your academic, business or professional career.

Business and Specialised Programmes

The Business and Specialised Courses, combine 20 lessons of general English language tuition each week in Intensive Course G-1.20 with 10 lessons per week in the language and background of your chosen specialisation. The specialised tuition is arranged in independent modules to permit enrolment for 2, 3 or 4 weeks - though the full 4 weeks are required to cover all the subject areas.

Teacher Training Programme

Anglo-Continental has developed 2 to 4 week courses preparing candidates for the University of Cambridge’s TKT to develop the knowledge and teaching skills of people who teach English to primary, secondary and adult learners, and also people who are interested in teaching as a career. This qualification will help you to understand: 1. different methodologies for teaching 2. the 'language of teaching' 3. the ways in which resources can be used 4. the key aspects of lesson planning 5. classroom management methods for different needs
