Los Angeles is one of the most famous cities in the world. From the glamor and glitz of Hollywood and the movie stars who live there to the attractions of Disneyland and Universal Studios Los Angeles offers something for everyone.
LA is not as much a city as a group of smaller neighborhoods and towns, each with their own very different characters and flavors ; giving you plenty of opportunity to explore each neighborhood during your stay. Popular destinations are Beverly Hills with its fashionable shops to the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood and the Spanish architecture of Westwood Village. For even more ethnic flavor, some 220 languages are spoken in the city, you can also visit the various ethnic enclaves such as Chinatown, Historic Filipino town, Korea town, Little Armenia, Little Ethiopia, Little Persia, Little India, Little Tokyo, and Thai Town. After celebrity spotting, window shopping at the famous boutiques is a favorite pastime for visitors, as few will be able to afford the prices in store.
The weather is great year round, and with 300 days of sunshine a year it doesn’t rain very often. Both the beaches and mountains are close, allowing you literally to go skiing in the morning and surfing in the afternoon.
