Punting on the Cam (Cambridge, England)If you ever wanted to enjoy student life in one of the worlds most historic university cities then you cannot miss Cambridge.

Cambridge is an attraction for international students year round. During the summer many language students come to enjoy its scenery and the many historic buildings. They punt on the river Cam and watch the University buildings from the river as they enjoy the summer sun and soak up its historic environment. They improve their English at the many schools available in town

The University of Cambridge itself teaches some 20,000 students spread over its 30 different colleges. The oldest college, Peterhouse dates back to 1284, and a famous landmark such as King’s College Chapel to 1515. During the summer several language schools offer boarding courses at the actual colleges, so although you might not be a full-time student of the University you can still experience what student life is like in their ancient buildings and dine at high table.

Because it is home to so many students there are plenty of opportunities to relax in the evening and meet with local students in the many clubs & pubs. Festivals ,fairs, crafts and arts all add to a unique atmosphere.

Ancient narrow roads and modern traffic make bicycles the easiest and quickest way to get around. After arrival many students arrange a bicycle to travel between their school and homestay.
