Bournemouth BeachBournemouth is a large town and tourist resort situated on the south coast of England. With its seven miles of sandy beaches it has long been popular as a holiday destination for both UK and overseas visitors.

Bournemouth is also home to some of the oldest language schools in the UK, some opened in the 1950’s and the city is ideal for long term students. With a much lower cost of living than nearby London students can study and live in one of the most pleasant climates in the UK and find that there is plenty to do after class.

Being a popular holiday resort, there is plenty of shopping, varied sports facilities, beautiful beaches, cinema’s, discos and theatres to keep one busy year round. The schools organize activity programmes allowing students to explore both the nearby area and further afield.

In a 2007 survey Bournemouth was found to be the happiest place in the UK, with more than 80% of the questioned inhabitants saying they were happy with their life.

Bournemouth should not be confused with Eastbourne, another south coast seaside town about a 2 hours drive east. Southbourne however is a suburb of Bournemouth and close to the town centre.
